Foiled again- it seeps on the floor;
My heart has been broken
It troubles you no more.
Twice it called to me today
And-
Twice I resented it’s decay.
No more shall I wear this thing upon my sleeve.
Never again the daylight shall it see.
Foiled again- I open a door,
To hear my heart crushed by
Words callous and sore.
Twice again it hammered on my door
But-
Twice I slammed it into the floor.
Never again shall these words, so dear,
Be spoken by yours truly,
“I love you. Beware.”
